INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 8, 2015)– An Indianapolis teacher is facing termination after being accused of having inappropriate conversations with a former student.

The teacher works at the Lynhurst 7th & 8th Grade Center on the southwest side of Indianapolis.

The school is in the process of firing the teacher, who has not yet been identified.

The school issued this statement Friday afternoon:

After an investigation into allegations of inappropriate communication between a teacher at Lynhurst 7th & 8th Grade Center and one of his former students, we have begun the process of terminating this teacher’s employment, subject to approval by our Board of Education.
