Delaware County sheriff dies one week after surgery
MUNCIE (May 15, 2015) – The sheriff of Delaware County died a week after having shoulder surgery.
Delaware County Sheriff Mike Scroggins died early Friday morning in Elyria, Ohio. He was at his girlfriend’s house when he got up in the morning and fell. He died shortly after that.
Scroggins, 52, had shoulder surgery at an Ohio hospital on May 8, Chief Deputy Jason Walker told Muncie’s Star Press
Scroggins was elected sheriff in 2010.
