Person rescued after jumping between downtown rooftops

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 17, 2015) – Indianapolis fire department rescued a man from a rooftop early Sunday morning.

Police say an intoxicated man jumped to or from the roof of the Old Roberts building in the 200 block of South Meridian St. just before 4 a.m.

Firefighters arrived and were able to successfully get him down. They say he was injured, but was awake and alert when he was transported to an area hospital.

He was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
