Man arrested on outstanding warrant after crash on city’s north side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 30, 2015) – A man claimed a person driving on the wrong side of the road caused him to swerve and hit a utility pole.

The accident happened near the intersection of 42nd St. and Haughey Ave. just before 2 a.m. Saturday.

The man suffered a minor injury to his arm.

While investigating police found out that the man had an outstanding warrant in Hancock County for dealing narcotics.

Police arrested the man.

IPL is working to fix the utility pole that was struck.
