Police investigate armed robbery at Bloomington McDonald’s

BLOOMINGTON (June 1, 2015) – Police in Monroe County were investigating after an armed robbery at a Bloomington McDonald’s.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, a man entered the building at 4499 W. State Rd. 46 around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, walked behind the counter and then went into the kitchen area. The suspect, who was carrying a handgun, then took employees to the office where he told them to put money in a backpack. He left the building and ran across West State Road 46.

The suspect, a black male, wore a black winter coat, black pants and white shoes. Investigators from the Ellettsville Police Department and Indiana State Police helped look for the man but were unsuccessful in finding him.

No one was hurt and there were no customers inside at the time of the robbery.
