INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (June 5, 2015) – The Colts teamed up with Habitat for Humanity Friday to help a family build a home.
Dozens of volunteers gathered outside the Indiana Farm Bureau Football Center to work on the panels for the future house. Colts Coach Chuck Pagano and General Manager Ryan Grigson were among those helping out with the project. Stanley Security also joined in on the build.
Future homeowner Maria Gilpin said she was overwhelmed by the support for her family.
“It means so much to me and my family,” Gilpin said. “We appreciate the help and their dedication. We couldn’t thank them more. We’re so blessed.”
Pagano said he noticed the impact the project made on Gilpin.
“It’s huge,” Pagano said. “The emotion that was on her face, it brought tears to her eyes. It’s her first home and being able to be a part of that is pretty special.”
The panels to the house were completed by noon Friday.
This is the fifth year the Colts have worked with Habitat.
