BROWNSBURG, Ind. (June 11, 2015)-- The two bike riders struck by a drunk driver on Wednesday have now been identified as faculty members of St. Malachy Catholic Parish in Brownsburg.

42-year-old Angela Bostrom, St. Malachy Parish's principal, was airlifted to IU Methodist in critical condition along with assistant principal Saundra Kennison, 47, who suffered a fractured arm and a neck injury.

St. Malachy posted on their website Thursday evening asking the community to send prayers to the victims and their family.

The crash happened on State Road 13 and County Road 800 Wednesday afternoon.  Sheriff investigators believe the driver of the vehicle, 57 year-old Michael Shriver had been drinking, ran a stop sign and slammed in to a car at that intersection.  His vehicle then continued and struck two bicyclists who, according to witnesses, suffered very serious injuries.

"He did have a little issue with the field sobriety test, he was given a pbt test, which he did not pass it as well,” says Major Joey Cole of the Madison County Sheriff’s Department.

Shriver is being held on three counts of OWI causing serious injury.

Bostrom is listed in critical condition.
