SAN DIEGO, Calif. (June 14, 2015) – A soldier arrived home from overseas and surprised his family at his little sister’s middle school graduation in San Diego on Friday.

According to KGTV, Pfc. Eddie Bustin was deployed overseas, and he hadn’t seen his family in a year.

Bustin said, “I called my sister back in January asking, ‘What do you want for graduation?’ and she said, ‘All I want is for you to be here.'”

So without telling anyone, Bustin saved his money so he could pay for what was an expensive flight home.

When the principal at Rincon Middle School introduced Bustin, his younger sister Alyssa saw him and immediately smiled, with tears in her eyes.

“Nice job, girl. Your brother loves you,” Bustin told his sister as they hugged.

Shortly after, his twin sister, Carina, and their mother came on stage to hug him.

After months of planning, it was mission accomplished for Bustin.
