Authorities: Man planning robbery inadvertently calls 911

INDIANAPOLIS (July 13, 2015) – Police confirm that a person was shot on the city’s northwest side early Monday morning.

IMPD officers were conducting a routine traffic stop near the intersection of 52nd St. and Georgetown Rd. just before 1 a.m. when a car pulled up with four men inside. One of those men had been shot in the shoulder.

The victim was transported to Eskenazi with non-life threatening injuries, but no other information is available at this point.

Police are continuing to investigate and our story will be updated as more information becomes available.
