Mother, 3-year-old child taken to hospital after crash involving IMPD officer

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (July 28, 2015)– A mother and her 3-year-old child were hospitalized Tuesday after a two-car accident involving an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officer on the near northeast side.

The crash occurred around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday at North Dearborn Street and East 25th Street.

The mother and child were taken to Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health to be checked out. IMPD says they had no visible injuries at the scene.

The officer did not sustain any injuries and was not transported to the hospital.
