Authorities: Man planning robbery inadvertently calls 911

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Aug. 2, 2015)–Metro Police are looking for two suspects in an armed home invasion robbery on the city’s far east side late Saturday.

Shortly before midnight, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police were called to a residential robbery in the 10400 block of Govenours Lane.  That scene is near East 38th Street and German Church Road.

Four people who were in the residence at the time told police two unknown males around 18 and 20-years-old came in through the front door.

The victims said on suspect was armed with a handgun and stole money.  One person was reportedly struck in the head with a gun and received slight injuries.

The victims told police one of the suspects fired a shot into the floor before leaving the residence.
