INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Aug. 2, 2015)–Indianapolis Metropolitan police are investigating after a woman was found dead in her apartment complex on the east side Sunday.

Police were dispatched to the building on 41 Bankers Lane shortly after 10 p.m. when a woman called saying her friend wasn’t breathing. Police identified the woman Monday as 49-year-old Bobbi Ratliffe.

Officers say when they got there, they found Ratliffe on the kitchen floor. Police say it appears she was suffering from trauma to her head.

Police say this is a death investigation and they’ll be able to release more information after the official ruling from the coroner.
