Authorities: Man planning robbery inadvertently calls 911

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (Aug. 2, 2015)–A Gary man wanted on kidnapping charges was arrested late Saturday night by Indiana State  Excise Police.

Around 11 p.m. 26-year-old Antoine Terrell Kimbrough of Gary was initially stopped for driving the wrong way on a one way street in Michigan City.

The Excise Police officer was working enforcement patrols when he pulled Kimbrough over.

Police say Kimbrough gave a false name at first.  Once his true identity was determined, Police found an active warrant for Kimbrough out of Lake County.

Kimbrough is wanted for three counts of kidnapping, two counts of criminal confinement, one count of criminal confinement resulting in injury, one count of felony domestic battery and one count of misdemeanor domestic battery.

The charges stem from a July 8th incident that occurred in Gary.
