IndyStar columnist Tim Swarens is analyzing the first GOP Presidential debate in this week's edition of IN Focus.
Thursday’s first GOP Presidential debate featured a number of heated exchanges, many involving Donald Trump, who started off by saying he could not commit to taking a pledge to support the eventual Republican candidate- refusing to close the door on a possible third party candidacy.
Trump also made headlines on the issue of immigration.
“This was not a subject on anyone’s mind until I brought it up,” said Trump. “Our leaders are stupid.”
The top ten candidates (Trump, Jeb Bush, Scott Walker, Mike Huckabee, Ben Carson, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Chris Christie and John Kasich) were chosen based on recent polling data.
