Jackson County woman succumbs to injuries suffered in Interstate 65 crash

GREENWOOD, Ind. (Aug. 15, 2015) — A Jackson County woman injured in a crash on Interstate 65 just south of County Line Road has died from her injuries.

The crash happened around 5 p.m. Saturday and involved two vehicles.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the driver of a 1994 Chrysler was traveling NB when she attempted to move left from the right lane County Line Road exit lane to continue NB on I-65. During the process, she struck the end of the traffic safety attenuator.

The vehicle then spun into NB traffic and struck a semi.

The driver and her passenger, Patsie Linville, 78, of Freetown, were transported to Eskenazi Hospital.

Linville succumbed to her injuries and died at 10:30 p.m.
