Scene of the domestic dispute

SUNSET, La. (Aug. 26, 2015)– A sheriff says two people are dead in southwest Louisiana, including a police officer who was shot after responding to a domestic dispute.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz identified the victims as Officer Henry Nelson, 51, and Shameka Johnson, 40. He says two other women also were stabbed: Johnson’s sister, Shurlay Johnson, 34, and Courtney Jolivette, the wife of the man who is accused in the attacks.

KLFY is reporting that the deceased Shameka Johnson and her sister Shurlay are sisters of Grand Coteau Mayor Shaterral Johnson.

Guidroz says 35-year-old Harrison Lee Wiley Jr. drove from the house and ran his car into a store where he barricaded himself. He was later taken into custody.

Guidroz says Wiley has an extensive criminal record.
