Taco John's plans to build up to 15 Indy locations

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Aug. 28, 2015) – Look out, Taco Bell, Taco John’s is coming to Indianapolis.

The Wyoming-based Mexican food chain plans to build up to 15 restaurants in the Indianapolis area. Realtor Michael House, whose other restaurants include BoomBozz Craft Pizza and Taphouse, will serve as the local franchisee.

“I’m very excited about bringing Taco John’s to Indianapolis,” House said. “There is an opening in the market for this type of industry. There’s a plethora of guys doing burgers, but in the taco business — where we are in Indianapolis — you only have one main player.”

Taco John’s has 380 restaurants in 27 states. The chain was founded in 1969 and is famous for selling six-packs of tacos and “Potato Olés.”

While no locations have been announced, House has an agreement for five stores with an option to build 10 more.
