VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (August 30, 2015)–Indiana State Police and the Vermillion County Coroner’s Office are investigating the discovery of a body found in southwestern Vermillion County Sunday.

Shortly after noon property owners discovered a gray 2013 Ford pickup in a wooded area near county roads 200 West and Brouilletts Road.

A deceased male was found near the rear of the truck.

Investigators say they believe the victim died of manual asphyxiation.

State Police say evidence at the scene indicates the victim may be 54-year-old Daniel Keith Adams of Terre Haute.

Adams was reported missing on August 5th.

An autopsy is being performed, but authorities say due to the condition of the deceased, it may take weeks to positively identify the victim using dental records or DNA.
