INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Sept. 4, 2015) - Restaurants, bars and hotels in downtown Indianapolis are ready for Colts home games and they are looking to cash in on football fans.

Visit Indy says every Colts home game generates a seven-figure economic impact for the city of Indianapolis. Many restaurants along Georgia Street open early, stay open late, bring on extra staff and work to come up with ways to keep the fans coming back to their establishment on home game days. The Pub of Indianapolis located on the East end of Georgia Street has been open for 15 years.

It is closer to the field house, but it also packs in Colts fans on game day. This year, owners say they will host more street parties and focus on providing great customer service which is a key ingredient for success according to Visit Indy.

"We're really encouraging our hotels to have packages for visitors to come in and check out a home colts game also our bars and restaurants to stay open, open a little earlier to really be conducive to the football fan," says Chris Gahl from Visit Indy.

The Colts have eight regular season home games this year.
