Kidnapped woman manages to escape her abductor on city’s west side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (September 12, 2015)–Metro police are looking for a suspect in an abduction and attempted robbery early Saturday on the city’s near west side.

Police say sometime between 5:30 a..m. and 5:49 a.m. a 26-year-old woman was abducted in the 1600 block of Dr. MLK Jr. Street.

The woman told investigators her abductors struck her, drove her around in a car attempting to rob her, before she was able to get out of the car in the 1500 block of West Washington Street.

The victim was not able to give a very detailed description of her abductor.
