INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (September 20, 2015)–Emergency crews worked 15 minutes to free a man trapped in the wreckage of his car on the city’s southwest side, Sunday.

Around 2:15 p.m. emergency crews were called to Interstate 465 and Sam Jones Expressway on a report of a serious crash.

Investigators say the driver lost control while merging from Sam Jones Expressway to I-465 Northbound.

When crews arrived on the scene, they found a male driver with his arms pinned between his car and the ground.

Crews say his arm went through the sunroof when the car rolled over and became trapped.

The driver was taken by ambulance to Eskenazi Hospital in serious but stable condition.
