Police search for person of interest after woman found dead on west side porch

UPDATE: (May 9, 2018)– Anthony Beuhner was sentenced to 63 years after being found guilty of murder in April. He received 911 days of jail credit.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Oct. 2, 2015) – Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are searching for a person of interest after a woman was found dead on her west side porch Friday morning.

The woman, identified as 41-year-old Janet Cook, was found around 8:52 a.m. at her home in the 400 block of Exeter Avenue. She was found with gunshot wounds, said police. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

IMPD said the shooting appears to be domestic related at this time. They are searching for 29-year-old Anthony Buehner, who is considered to be a person of interest.
