BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (Oct. 2, 2015) — Police in Bloomington identified two people killed in an apparent murder-suicide at a Bloomington apartment Wednesday night.

The female victim, Yaolin Wang, 21, was an Indiana University junior who lived in the apartment building, police said. Chuanlin Xiao, 20, was a resident of Washington State. Police believe Xiao stabbed the woman and then hanged himself. They had been in a relationship for about six months and lived together at the apartment on Goodnight Way for about a month, investigators said.

The two bodies were found in a common area at an apartment complex for IU students just south of College Mall in Bloomington.
