Two Purdue football players arrested on alcohol and marijuana charges

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (October 5, 2015) – Two Purdue football players were arrested Saturday night for minor consumption and possession of marijuana, according to the Lafayette Journal & Courier.

Freshman linebacker Wyatt Cook, 18, of Owings Mill, MD, was arrested for minor consumption.

Freshman defensive end Chazmyn Turner, 18, of Mooresville, NC, was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Both Cook and Turner were taken to the Tippecanoe County Jail where they bonded out on their own.

Purdue’s Associate Athletic Director for Communication Matt Rector says Coach Darrell Hazell is aware of the incident, and he will let the legal process play out.

Cook and Turner have yet to appear in a game.
