Indiana State University sends alert after armed suspect spotted on campus

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (Oct. 23, 2015) – Police at Indiana State University were looking for an armed suspect after witnesses reported seeing him on campus Friday morning.

According to an alert sent from the school, the individual was spotted in the Rhodes and Hines Hall areas. The alert described the man as a black male, about 5’6”-5’9” with dreadlocks, black basketball shorts and a red or black backpack.

Campus officials later said it appeared the man had left the university. ISU police and Terre Haute police were looking for him north of campus. An ISU spokesman said it appeared the man was looking for a specific person over a personal dispute.
