GREENE COUNTY, Ind. (October 27, 2015) – Authorities are questioning a Lawrence County man after a fatal crash Tuesday morning.

Investigators believe Joshua Paul Wells, 24, of Bedford was the driver of a maroon Ford F350 pickup truck that was involved in a single vehicle crash. As a result of the crash, one of his passengers was injured and a 14-year-old Solsberry girl was killed.

The crash occurred at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday on State Road 54 at Sharkey Road near Bloomfield.

After crashing the vehicle, Wells allegedly fled from the scene.

Wells was located around 11 a.m. by law enforcement, and he was arrested on active warrants through Lawrence County for failing to appear for a prior court date for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

He has not been arrested for the fatal crash at this time, but police are questioning him.
