Police make arrest after northwest side apartment shooting

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (November 1, 2015) — Two people were shot on the city’s northwest side late Sunday.

Metro police and emergency crews were called to the 3100 block of Merrick Lane at The Woods Apartments shortly after 10:30 p.m. That scene is near West 38th Street and Kessler Boulevard.

Police confirm one shooting victim, Antoine Murff, 32, was shot in the chest and taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in critical condition.  The second victim, Brandon Grace, 26, suffered a graze wound and was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in stable condition.

Officers say the shooting began as an argument between three men. They arrested Jimmy Lindsay, 26, on a charge of aggravated battery.
