MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. (November 2, 2015) – An Anderson man who faces several child molestation charges was arrested again – this time for trying to hire a hitman to kill the child molestation victim and her mother.

David W. Wilkinson, 44, was arrested back in May. According to court documents, he molested a girl for a year in Miami County. He was charged with four counts of child molestation, as well as four other felony charges.

Wilkinson was arrested again on Friday following a four-week long investigation that started at the beginning of October. He faces two counts of conspiracy to commit murder, a level 2 felony.

According to court documents, Wilkinson attempted to hire an undercover officer to kill the child molest victim and her mother.

Wilkinson contacted the officer several times over the phone and in person, and he offered the officer $40,000 to kill both of them.

Wilkinson is now being held in the Miami County Jail.

A jury trial for the child molestation charges is scheduled to start on December 14.

There are no court dates yet for the conspiracy to commit murder charges.
