Tamika Catchings hosting youth event Saturday focused on fitness, healthy eating

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Nov. 6, 2015)-- Indiana Fever forward Tamika Catchings stopped by FOX59 Friday to share her passion for fitness and living a healthy lifestyle.

This weekend you have a chance to meet her and learn more about her message.

The WNBA All-Star and MVP, 3-time Olympic Gold Medalist and 5-time Defensive Player of the year will host boys and girls ages 7-14 at the 14th Annual Catch on to Fitness Clinic on Saturday, November 7 from 1-4 p.m. at Pike High School.

Children and parents are invited to the event as youth attendees will participate in a three hour fitness clinic.

Catchings and her volunteer team will also discuss the importance of maintaining a fit and healthy body.

The cost of the youth event is $5 plus five canned goods per participant.  The Parent Wellness Clinic is free when attendees bringing at least 10 canned food items each to benefit Gleaners Food Bank.
