Police make arrest in downtown parking lot homicide

UPDATE (Aug. 30, 2017) — Shaquille Hollingsworth was found not guilty of murder but guilty of arson after his trial.

INDIANAPOLIS,  Ind. (November 7, 2015)–Metro Police have made an arrest in connection with the death of a 62-year-old Indianapolis man, found severely injured in a downtown parking lot last Wednesday.

Tito McCombs died from severe head trauma after being attacked in a parking lot at 9th Street and Delaware Streets.

Detectives questioned Shaquille Hollingsworth and later believed he was responsible for McComb’s death and the subsequent burning of McComb’s car.

Police have arrested and charged Hollingsworth with murder, felony murder and robbery.
