INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (November 7, 2015) -- Thousands of runners are in Indianapolis from all over world to race in the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon Saturday.
The race is in it's 8th year and is a qualifying race for the Boston Marathon. Starting and finishing at the State Capitol, runners will travel around Indy's historic neighborhoods.
The race will affect traffic around in the city until about 2:00 p.m. To see a full list of traffic closures click here.
The marathon raises money for public education and runners have donated more than $675,000 in the first eight years.
