Nine students suffer minor injuries after hit-and-run crash on northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Nov. 13, 2015)– Nine students suffered minor injuries after their school bus crashed Friday morning.

The accident happened at 63rd Street and Georgetown Road.

Thirty-four students were aboard the Pike Township school bus from Lincoln Middle School.

Authorities say the bus was heading northbound on Georgetown Road, when a truck pulling a utility trailer cut the bus off.  The truck fled the scene. Police are searching for the vehicle.

Nine students suffered minor injuries and were taken to St. Vincent Hospital for evaluation.
