Pickup truck and semi collide in Bartholomew County, man flown to hospital

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. (November 14, 2015) – An Indianapolis man was seriously injured after his pickup truck collided with a semi in Bartholomew County Friday night.

The accident happened around 7:50 p.m. on northbound Interstate 65 at the 72 mile marker.

A white pickup truck, driven by Rickey Mendenhall, 53, of Indianapolis, collided with a semi.

The semi driver reported that the pickup truck spun into the median then rolled over several times. Mendenhall had to be extricated from his vehicle by fire personnel.

Mendenhall was transported to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis by StatFlight. The extent of his injuries is unknown at this time.
