A Wind Advisory is in effect for central Indiana through 5 p.m. Winds have gusted as high as 46 mph in Indy today.
Winds will gust to 40 mph this afternoon and gust to about 25 mph this evening. Expect a partly cloudy sky overnight with lows in the low 40s and breezy southwest winds.
Thursday will bring a decrease in cloud cover with a mostly sunny sky during the day and temperatures in the mid-50s.
Friday will be a bit colder with highs in the upper 40s. Our next system will move through Saturday with precipitation starting in the morning as rain and most likely changing to snow as a cold front moves through and brings much colder air to the area. Expect temperatures to fall during the day Saturday. Right now it's too early to tell how much snow will fall but light accumulations are possible, especially the farther north you travel. Winds will also gust to 30 mph.
Sunday morning will bring the coldest weather of the season with lows in the upper teens and low 20s. The coldest it's been in Indy this season is 26 degrees back on November 14. By Monday morning, lows will dip to the upper teens in the city. Milder weather returns with highs in the 40s and 50s as we go into next week. --Danielle Dozier
