Police search for man after female reports sexual battery near Purdue campus

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Nov. 20, 2015)—The West Lafayette Police Department is searching for a man in connection with a sexual battery that occurred near the Purdue campus Friday morning.

The incident happened just before 9 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 200 block of Sheetz Street.

A female reported she was exiting the laundry room and heading to her apartment when she spotted a suspicious male. She said the man grabbed her from behind, but she was able to escape after a struggle.

The woman reported the man was a heavier set white male with brown hair. He was wearing glasses and a green jacket.
