Indianapolis police say domestic issue led to shooting, suicide on northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (November 21, 2015) – One person was killed and another person was injured in a shooting on the northwest side of Indianapolis Saturday evening.

The shooting occurred at Covered bridge Apartments near 71st Street and Georgetown Road around 4:30 p.m.

According to police, it was a domestic relations issue and a male shot a female, and then he turned the gun on himself.

The female was transported to the hospital, and she is expected to survive.
