Rain changing to snow this afternoon…cold night ahead!

Central Indiana (Nov. 21, 2015)--Good Saturday morning everyone! A storm system moving into the area will bring rain this morning changing over to snow this afternoon. The heaviest snowfall totals and greatest impacts from the storm will stay north of central Indiana. Light accumulations are possible on grassy areas and elevated surfaces.  The following counties are under a winter weather advisory until 7 p.m.: Carroll, Warren, Tippecanoe, Clinton, Howard, Fountain, Montgomery, Boone, Tipton, Hamilton, Madison, Delaware, Vermillion, Parke, Putnam, Hendricks, Marion, Vigo, Clay, Owen, and Morgan. Residents in these counties may have limited visibility and snow-covered roads.

Temperatures this morning are starting off in the upper 30s and lower 40s. Colder air will settle in throughout the day dropping our temperatures into the mid 30s this afternoon.

Our winds will also pick up out of the northwest 15-25 mph later today. The strong winds, clearing skies, and colder air settling in will drop temperatures into the upper teens overnight! The winds will make it feel like the single digits in some locations.
