No threat at IUPUI after suspect fires shots on campus

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (November 22, 2015) — IUPUI issued an alert Sunday morning for a “dangerous situation” after a suspect fired shots on campus near the Rotary Building and Eskenazi Hospital.

The suspect was last seen in a blue pickup truck heading north. According to IUPUI, the situation involved “parties known to each other,” and there is no known threat to the campus community at this time.

According to police, a domestic issue turned into a physical altercation between two people after they got off a bus near the campus. During the altercation, one person fired several shots. According to police, both the victim and the shooter are accounted for, but it is unknown at this time if the suspect has been arrested.
