Seventeen year old seriously injured in Thanksgiving Eve crash

Bartholomew County, Ind. (November 26. 2015) – A seventeen year old girl is in serious condition following a crash on Wednesday evening.

According to Indiana State Police, Cheyenne K. Armstrong, 17, of Columbus was seriously injured when the car she was driving left the roadway for unknown reasons and rolled several times.  Indiana State Police and Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department responded to the crash at approximately 7:30 PM, on County Road 330 West near County Road 450 North.

Armstrong was extricated from the vehicle before being flown to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis with multiple serious internal injuries.  Her condition is unknown at this time.  Police believe that speed was a contributing factor in this crash.

Indiana State Police was assisted by the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department, German Township Fire Department, Columbus Fire Department, Bartholomew County EMS, and Lifeline Medical Helicopter.
