(Dec. 3, 2015) -- Their customers say it’s the best bang for your buck in town, as far as dry cleaning goes. Ann and Michael Kin love Atlas Cleaners at 5367 North Keystone Avenue.
It’s a family-owned business, and the cleaning is done at their place on North Keystone Avenue. They have a new bag deal that really stretches your dollar.
“We’ve been coming here for a couple years, but it’s even better now with this new bag deal. We are probably saving $60 to $80 a month, which is quite a bit of money,” says Atlas customer Michael Kin.
Here's the new deal at Atlas: they provide a large laundry bag, and however many items you can stuff in the big bag, will cost you exactly $60. That makes planning your budget much easier!
“I don't have to worry about how many jackets and pants I have. Nor do I have to figure out what I'm going to spend when I come back in. I know it's always $60."
The bag deal is new, but it’s already a big hit with customers.
“You can just stuff a whole bag, and easily save between $60 and $100 on this. I had one lady come in recently and she had a lot of nice clothing. And she probably saved close to $200, it was amazing,” said Atlas Cleaners owner John Krug.
Krug told FOX 59, at first people don't really stuff the bag because they feel a bit guilty.
“We definitely have people coming in and saying they feel bad, but they only do that the first time because I say, put as much in the bag as you can. And believe me, the second or third time they come back, the bag is definitely a lot tighter."
If the $60 deal isn't right for you, they also have a smaller bag you can stuff for $25, or Atlas also has the $100 per month unlimited deal using their mobile app.
That pickup and delivery app makes it simple, because they only have one store in South Broad Ripple. With the app, they come to you, pick up your stuff and deliver it back to you for no extra charge.
“I bring in dress shirts, corduroy slacks, blazers, blouses, nice dresses, and I notice the blouses in particular. They come back and they look immaculate. I can't do them that way. I can't iron them that way, but they can here and it’s great,” said Atlas customer Ann Kin.
You can also stuff their bag with regular laundry if you want, but that's not getting the most bang for your buck.
