Mug shot released of man charged in stabbing death of Indiana man studying in Colorado

BOULDER, Colo. (Dec. 15, 2015)—Police have released the mug shot of the man arrested in connection with the stabbing death of an Indiana man who was studying at the University of Colorado.

Ian Scheuermann, 22, was arrested on a second-degree murder charge in the death of 26-year-old Sean Hudson.

Officers found Hudson suffering from multiple stab wounds after responding to the incident near the intersection of Broadway and Walnut streets around 2 a.m., said Boulder Police.

Both men were studying at the University of Colorado-Boulder. Hudson was a graduate student working to obtain his PhD in social psychology in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at the time of his death. The Greenfield, Indiana native completed his undergrad at Butler University.

Hudson’s family created a GoFundMe page to pay for expenses needed to bring Hudson home.

The motive for the stabbing is unknown at this time.
