Waffle House robbed for second time in a month

Authorities: Man planning robbery inadvertently calls 911

LAWRENCE, Ind. (December 15, 2015) – A Waffle House was robbed for the second time in a month early Tuesday morning.

Police say two men entered the restaurant in the 7200 block of Pendleton Pike around 1 a.m. demanding money from the staff. According to officers, the suspects said they had a weapon but did not display one.

Officers say the suspects fled the restaurant with cash and have not been caught.

There were no customers in the restaurant during the robbery and no injuries were reported.

This same Waffle House was robbed at gunpoint on November 18. Two armed suspects entered the restaurant around 2 a.m. and fled with cash. The suspects from that robbery were not caught.
