Good Samaritans chase down suspect who stole woman’s purse at south side Kroger, one stabbed

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Dec. 16, 2015)– Police say at least three Good Samaritans held down a suspect who allegedly stole a woman’s purse in a south side Kroger parking lot.

Around 8 p.m., police say the suspect fled after snatching the woman’s purse. The woman went into the Kroger, located at 4200 South East Street, and yelled for help. At least three people, including the Kroger store manager, chased the suspect down in the lot and held the person there until police arrived.

One of the Good Samaritans was stabbed multiple times by the suspect. The victim was taken to Eskenazi Health in serious but stable condition.
