ANDERSON, Ind. (December 17, 2015) – A U.S. Postal Service employee was arrested following a yearlong investigation. Jyll Renee Humes, 40, of Anderson, is accused of stealing packages containing medications.

According to court documents, USPS received complaints from multiple customers starting in August 2014 regarding missing packages containing prescription drugs. More missing packages were reported through October 2014.

A review of surveillance footage showed Humes stealing the packages.

During the course of the investigation, approximately 23 packages were reported missing. Some of those packages were sent by the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affiars to patients in Anderson, and they contained hydrocodone and oxycodone.
