INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (December 18, 2015)--We've already had Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. Now today, we have Free Shipping Friday. It's your last chance to get gifts online and delivered by Christmas Eve.

It's the holiday season's newest shopping day. FreeShippingDay.com offers about 1,000 retailers with deep discounts along with free shipping.

The day was established in 2008. Since then, sales have increased about 10 percent each year. In 2011, the day produced more than $1 billion in sales.

"Nobody wants to pay for delivery," said Kendal Perez, spokesperson for Free Shipping Friday. "According to a report from Nielsen recently, one in four shoppers haven't even started their holiday shopping. So the procrastination element of Free Shipping Day is also what makes it very popular."

This year Walmart jumped on board for Free Shipping Friday for the first time. There are also several small retailers, including Etsy, offering deals.
