INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (December 19, 2015)–A prayer vigil was held Saturday for the man who was shot and killed by Metro police officers last weekend.

Family and friends celebrated the life of Christopher Goodlow Junior in a parking lot of a strip mall on the city’s northeast side.

Goodlow’s uncle, Roy Bush said, “We don’t want anyone to have to go through that again.  We can’t bring Chris back but we can try to make sure that it doesn’t happen to someone else.”

Funeral services for Goodlow will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Saint Luke Missionary Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m.

The police officers involved in the shooting are on leave pending an investigation, which is standard procedure.
