INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Jan. 8, 2016)-- Family members of Kyle Cox, the former basketball coach and assistant sports director at Park Tudor High School, are speaking out after finding out Cox is now at the center of a child pornography and child exploitation investigation.

“I’m freaking out because I can not picture my cousin doing this, but looks can be deceiving,” says a family member.

On Thursday, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force served a search warrant at the school, searching for evidence in the case.

“I can not imagine him even doing this. This is crazy,” says a family member.

The school declined to comment on the investigation, but say they are cooperating fully with law enforcement. The same day sources tell us police also searched Cox’s home in Fishers.

Neighbors who talked off camera did not want to comment on the ongoing investigation, but say they feel very bad for Cox’s wife and two kids.

“When you are a high school teacher you are highly respected and you have contact with the kids. When you have these kinds of things happen you lose respect,” says one of Cox’s neighbors.

The investigation is still ongoing and no charges have been filed yet.

“I want to say he did not do it, but you never know these days. He might have had an urge. I don’t know,” says a family member.
