Powerball ticket giveaways set ahead of $800 million drawing

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Jan. 8, 2016) – The largest Powerball jackpot in U.S. history is on the line during Saturday night’s Powerball drawing, which surged to an estimated $800 million Friday.

There are several opportunities for Hoosiers to get free tickets for the drawing. Powerball ticket giveaways start at 8 a.m. at Kroger located at 11101 Pendleton Pike.

At noon, the Kroger at 1330 W. Southport Rd. will hand out tickets. You can head to the Marsh at 5624 Georgetown Rd. at 5 p.m. for another giveaway.

The first 200 people to arrive will get a free Powerball ticket. Otherwise, you can buy a ticket for $2. The drawing will take place Saturday night at 10:59 p.m., right here on FOX59.
