Columbus woman arrested for domestic battery with child present

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. (January 11, 2016) – A Columbus woman was arrested and accused of domestic battery with a minor present on Saturday morning.

Officers were dispatched to a home in the 3000 block of Alan Drive around 4 a.m. in reference to a domestic battery in progress.

When the officers entered the residence, a female identified herself to officers as Sarah L. De La Cruz Quiroga, 28, of Columbus. She told the officers that a child was in the residence at the time of the altercation.

A male told the officers that the couple got into an argument and it escalated to the point where De La Cruz Quiroga beat him.

De La Cruz Quiroga was taken into custody for domestic battery in the presence of a minor and interfering with reporting a crime. She has been released on a $12,500 bond.
