INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Jan. 11, 2016) — The Powerball jackpot shows no signs of slowing down.

After no one won Saturday’s drawing, the jackpot increased another $100 million to $1.4 billion Monday afternoon. It’s the largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history, and officials from the Hoosier Lottery said strong tickets sales pushed up the total. The cash value is $868 million.

Powerball tickets are available at more than 4,400 retailers around the Hoosier State. Tickets cost $2, and the odds of winning are 1 in 292 million. Wednesday’s drawing airs live on our sister station, FOX59, Wednesday night.
